Who am I?
My name is Jim Shih, and I am a PhD candidate at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich where I study the atmosphere of exoplanets.
I am intrigued by the universe’s mysteries and the beauty that comes with it. Whilst keeping up the the latest in science, I enjoy sharing my own perspective and uncovering the fascinating stories waiting to be told.
My journey:
I am originally from Taiwan (aka Formosa), a small but beautiful island in Asia, where I spent most of my childhood. I moved to Europe when I was 12, where I first lived in Florence for school, then in London for my Bachelor’s, Amsterdam for my Master’s, finally now in Munich/Minga for PhD
During my academic pursuit in Astronomy, I embarked on an expedition to explore the vastness of the cosmos – learning about stars, the interstellar medium and conducting significant research on Exoplanets.
